How many commission slots are open?
In total, I have 10 slots available. I will update this journal as slots open and close. You can also come here to see the drawing status next to each current commissioner's order. When all slots are full, I will mark this journal as [FULL] and will re-label it as [OPEN] as soon as a slot opens. If this journal is marked as [CLOSED], I am no longer accepting commissions for an indefinite period of time.Currently there are: 10 slots open!
How do I place an order?
Email me! If you comment or send me a note, I will direct you to my email: himikai.art@gmail.comIn your email, please:
- Title it: COMMISSION ORDER: ((YOUR DEVIANTART USERNAME))
- List what art set you want (i.e.: A half-body flat-color with a simple background)
- Art details: (attach reference images to email -- please note that I won't draw a character from just a text description). Provide as many clear details as possible to ensure I get everything right the first time!
How do I pay?
I am accepting PayPal invoices only. No dA points!I'll only start work after I receive a deposit of 50% of the total price. When the piece is finished and I receive the remaining half of the payment, I'll send you the final artwork in high quality without the watermark.
What if the type of commission I want isn't listed?
Don't worry! If you happen to want something that I didn't list, or you aren't sure what category your order fits under, just send me a note and I'll answer your questions!
What do/don't you draw?
I have few limits on what work I will not create. Keep in mind, these are subject to change at my discretion. I will not do:
- Nudity (Meaning no genitals; Partial nudity is OK)
- Gore/Pastel Gore

- BL/Yaoi (No nudity)
- GL/Yuri (No nudity)

Will you mail me a physical copy/traditional drawing?
Currently, no! I would love to do this (particularly to send a little thank you to some of my commissioners), however it is not possible at this time.
I need this commission done quick! Can you have it done by a certain deadline?
This will depend heavily on both the length of time you are asking for, as well as the amount of details you request. No matter what, this will incur an additional fee that will be based on your order details. What if I'm not satisfied with the drawing? Can I have a refund?
Any payments I receive are non-refundable. I will send certain updates so that you can confirm the drawing is to your liking. I will send you a low-quality, watermarked version of the sketch stage and the flat color stage. If you are not satisfied, we can discuss what you would like changed, and I will redo the piece once. If you are still not satisfied, then you may cancel the order and will not have to pay the final half of the order price.Some commissions have speedpaints. Can I order one? Will it cost an extra fee?
I upload speedpaints of my work (www.youtube.com/c/Himikai) if I have the time. I often forget to record and must spend a lot of time editing and uploading the video. So a speedpaint cannot be guaranteed, nor bought. If your commission happens to be one I create a speedpaint for, I will link it in the description here on dA. This may change if there is a high enough demand for speedpaints.Can I edit/re-upload/reproduce your art?
No. Concerning commissioned images - It's fine for the commissioner to crop the picture. I expect these to turn into icons and avatars, so long as they are for personal use.Can I resell your art?
No. A commission does not grant you the rights to resell my work. Unless there is a signed contract between the artist (me) and commissioner (you), you CANNOT use my art commercially. No monetary gain can be made.
Can I buy/reuse an image you've already made?
All commissions are not for resale and only the commissioner has permission to use the image. My personal art is also not for sale. No one but myself is authorized to sell my work. You may not speak with a previous commissioner and buy my work from them.**Please be mindful that these images had specific characters commissioned. Their owners put a lot of love and personality into them and they do not belong to anyone else. This also applies to my original characters - do not use these images or their likeness for your work.
**If I feel that the commission request is out of my skill range or the subject is inappropriate, I reserve the right to refuse the commission.

My deviantART Story
I joined deviantART back in 2010, after already having frequented this site for a couple years. I gain a lot of inspiration from the dA community and even more motivation. It was thanks to an encouraging deviant that I decided to try my hand in digital art.
This was my very first work colored digitally, done in Paint Tool Sai [drawn traditionally first, then scanned in Sai]. For a couple years, this was how I did all my drawings, referencing and learning from tutorials uploaded by other deviants as I went.
At the time, I was limited to using a mouse, mostly unaware that drawing tablets even existed. Eventually, I learned how to use linework layers in Sai to smooth out my lines, but my shading was still lacking. It was through some searching and tutorials on dA that I learned about tablets and how useful they were. After asking a few deviants, I decided to purchase a Wacom Bamboo.
The result was truly amazing. Even though I was still fairly unfamiliar with digital art and the use of a tablet, it provided a great boost to my work overall and helped me begin taking my skills to the next level. Looking back, I can see that I've traveled by leaps and bounds.
Currently, I feel my best work is "Castle in the Night".
I used several custom brushes and Photoshop tutorials here on dA into order to complete this and I think it yielded beautiful results.
The support and feedback I've received on deviantART has had a very positive impact on my work and myself as an artist. Since joining I've gained 179+ watchers and 11,725+ pageviews and more wonderful comments than I can count. I plan to continue enjoying my time here for as long as I can and hope to inspire other up and coming artists along the way.

Around five years old, I was taking a walk with my parents. I would repeatedly pick up the dandelions and sniff them, and then sneeze a lot because I was allergic to the pollen.

I really love forest-type areas in the summertime. There’s just something about the sound of the birds and the sunlight pouring through the leaves and branches, ya know?

I travel to the Air and Water Show as often as I can. I love watching the military planes fly.
9. What's your favorite kind of mythology, if you have one?
Greek mythology. The stories can be so bizarre and amusing.

Long story short, I was being chased around the world by some psycho monster—which looked a lot like Pyramidhead—who already killed everyone in my house. Later, a ghost told me the key to defeating it and in the end, everyone came back to life. Happy ending.
3. What are some things you wish were invented?
A teleportation device would be wonderful. Also, a machine that can instantly change your outfit. (Something like the machine in that anime, Psycho Pass)

Lol in all honesty, I was a pretty play-it-safe kinda kid. Everything I did was either extraordinarily awesome or extraordinarily boring.

Off the top of my head, I think of “My Love” by Justin Timberlake or “Uh Oh” by Junior Doctor. Those are pretty cute.

7. What is your favorite memory from when you were little?
Going to the beach to see this Air and Water Show for the first time. My dad was in the Air Force and we were really hyped to see all the fighter jets. Especially one newly released model—which I forgot the name of—and the Blue Angels. The day after the show, a group of four Blue Angels flew over my house while me and my friends were playing outside, and they stopped and gave us a little show. It was amazing.
8. What do you think makes you stand out from everyone else?
Uhm… maybe the purple streaks in my hair? Lol, a lot of time, when people recognize me but don’t know my name, they just say “girl with the purple hair”. I didn’t think they were that noticeable.
